TOPIC: “Communication in the Digital Age”
In the course of human existence the world has gone through three global transformations. We have moved from the spoken word to the written word; from the written word to printed word; from the printed word to the digital word. Each of these transformations has created upheavals in values, social structures and balances of power and wealth. Since we are in the midst of this third transformation we are experiencing an upheaval in values, our social structures and the balance of power and wealth.
New strategies are needed to face the future. One strategy that is particularly needed is to learn or relearn the fundamentals of effective communication. Communication that is clear, concise and resonates with power is a skill that is lacking! People will not listen if these three components are lacking.
This presentation addresses the three essential factors needed to communicate effectively; Begin with power and clarity; Speak with organization and brevity, and create impact by ending strong.
TOPIC: “Doing What Matters”
Discovering Your Purpose and Power
This key note addresses the three necessary ingredients for success in the future.
- First: A need for renewed optimism. There are too many folks that are complaining about their existence, rather than creating a script that will provide a desirable future.
- Second: A need to become more intimate with what truly matters. Our society has put us on the fast pace and we’ve forfeited living around sound principles. We are so busy that we cannot be effective as we encounter our daily challenges.
- Third: A need to position our lives deeper into the culture in which we live. To look at finding a future filled with awe, wonder and expectation because we truly know our purpose and reason for being in this world.
The time is now to be counted for being alive and significant in a world hungry for authentic and principle-based people.
TOPIC: “Reshaping the B.O.S.”
The highest level of computer software is DOS, the Disc Operating System of the computer. The highest level of Corporate Guidance is its B.O.S., the Brain Operating System of its leadership.
The “brain” of the organization often needs to be reshaped. In this day, the BOS is in need of reshaping in order to handle the future of change, the speed of life and the requirement for flexibility. The resistance to change can be seen in organizations that are no longer in existence. Those able to change or reshape their B.O.S. are growing and meeting the needs of the present and equipping themselves for the future.
What this boils down to is “BRANDING.” The primary business factor that needs adjusting is understanding that business is more about relationships than about transactions. A strong brand identity (a reshuffling of the BOS) knows how to combine a strong inside brand with a strong outside brand.
