Balancing Leadership Skills &
Emotional Development®
The course is based on the book, Primal Leadership, by Dan Goleman. The best leaders demonstrate a balance between their skills and their emotional intelligence. The first side of the equation are the six leadership skills. These six are:
- visionary leadership
- coaching leadership
- affiliate leadership
- democratic leadership
- pacesetting leadership, and
- commanding leadership.
The best leaders know what each of these mean and what circumstance demands what skill set. The other side of the equation is a high level of emotional maturity. The four components of emotional maturity include:
- true self awareness
- ability to manage self
- an understanding of the social milieu, and
- a sense of knowing how to manage relationships.
The course will spend two days understanding these concepts and working them into your leadership role. Leadership is not of value unless it produces results!
